Yay! DC was fun but everything was really hard to get to around here. So, we're ready to move on. We say a ton of monuments. Although, we didn't stop, we just drove and looked. We saw the Watergate Building. Washington Monument, Arlington National Cemetary, National Archives, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial....and loads more. I'll post some pics from those sights soon.
We're all doing well, the kids have really been doing good. Today it's rainy and thundershowers all day, so we haven't done much.
Here are the kids.

We're in Washington D.C. now. We arrived on Saturday. The hotel I originally reserved for us turned out to be quite a dive, so we moved to Embassy Suites, which is much nicer. We're changing hotels again tomorrow and will then stay put until the 30th. We had a session with Karen and her family today, so we didn't do much site seeing. We did however see a few of the sites when we arrived, and this morning I took the kids on a walk and we found Ford's Theater. Very cool. If you're not familiar with Ford's Theater, this is where President Abraham Lincoln was shot in 1865. Pretty amazing to be in such a historical spot. So, here is a photo from the front of Ford's Theater, and another of a cool sandcastle that was on the beach when we did Cheryl's family shots.
We still have a few more weeks of travel. We'll be driving to Orlando after stops in Raleigh, NC and Savannah, GA.
We're in Delaware now, at the beach. We were here for just 2 nights, then tomorrow we go to Washington D.C. for 10 days. The beach here is lovely, and today we had a session with Chery and her family. It was a fun session, where they took us along the boardwalk, and we played in the sand/surf. I wish we were staying here a bit longer, I really like it here, but we have loads of sessions in the D.C. area, so off we go tomorrow.
Here are a couple more pictures from NYC. We went to the Top of the Rock, which had awesome views of the city, AMAZING. This first is from there. The next image is of what seemed to be all we saw while we were in NYC....Taxi's!
I'm so behind in posting, it's hard to blog in a hotel room with 2 kids!
I'm SO tired. We had our session with Janine, we got to get out of the city, taking 2 trains to NJ. That was fun and an adventure. Art is a legend watching 4 kids in the hotel for hours. You rock Art! The session was fun and it was so great to meet Janine and her family. :)
We've done a ton the past few days. Here are some pictures from Ground Zero. I took a cab down there alone one afternoon, and it was pretty amazing to see. I cannot imagine what it was like to be in NYC when that happened. Horrific is the first word that comes to mind. Here are a couple of images from my visit there.
