Ok, I knew I couldn't keep this up daily. I'm just not that wordy I guess. :)
I've decided a couple of cutoff dates:
Holiday Sessions: December 9, 2006 - Any sessions scheduled later than this will not guarantee delivery of prints for holiday gifts.
Holiday Card Order Deadline: December 3, 2006 - absolutely no orders accepted after this date.

Did you know...that if you refer a friend/family member, after their session and at your next session you will receive 25% off your entire print order. Make sure they tell me you sent them so you can receive the discount. This applies to your entire print order, canvas, holiday cards, announcements, and enlargements. If you'd like referal cards with your child/children on them, let me know and I can order them custom for you. (Who doesn't like to hand out cards with their own cute kids on them!).

Canvas! I love canvas. I love the look of it, I love the quality of it, I love that you don't have to frame it. I love it! I love the gallery wraps that all of my canvas comes with. Gallery wrap means the image wraps around the edges, so if you look at it from the side, you see the continuation of the portrait. All canvas comes wrapped, and the backs are finished and ready to hang. 16 x 20 canvas is gorgeous. Black and White canvas is gorgeous. Canvas Rocks!

I absolutely adore Storyboards. I have the one at the top of the page, hanging in my dining/kitchen area. I offer many different configurations, all in 20 x 10 size. These come sprayed and mounted for protection, and there is just 1 standard price, even if you chose a 5 image storyboard ($175). Another option, is CANVAS Storyboards. These look fabulous, and don't require any frames. They come complete with finished backs, hangers, etc. Here is a recent storyboard that was made into canvas.
Of course! We have to plan ahead, right? I'm SO excited to be offering these incredible holiday card designs from my friend, and talented photographer Jessica Barnak. She is incredible. Here is one that I love...although I love them all so look for more posts with examples soon! This particular one is 4 x 5 and as always, will come with envelopes.
Whew. I am ready for a vacation. I have the rest of July and all of August OFF! September will begin the crazy fall/holiday season, so I'm looking forward to relaxing a little bit. It's early to be thinking about Christmas, but my calendar is already starting to fill, so if you want holiday cards, and family portraits, now is the time to book. This week I'll be posting some new holiday cards I'll be offering.
In 2 weeks, my friends from Australia are coming here for 3 weeks to visit. I'm beyond excited, and can't wait to show them America. Keep your eyes on the blog for some images and stories of our adventures!

This is something I've been thinking about doing for a while now. I love the idea! I'm always asked if I sell digital images. I do, but at $200 per image, most people don't buy them.
Clients are always commenting that it's so hard to chose from their gallery. They want them ALL!
Well, with a digital frame, you can have it all! This particular frame is 8 x 10, holds up to 80 images in it's onboard memory, and has audio if desired. Images can be set in a slideshow format, or rotate images as you desire.
Additionally, this will fit into any standard picture frame, so it will fit into your decor easily.

This month marks Dawn Roberts Photography officially being in business for 1 year. By official, I mean, I received my business license 1 year ago. Obviously I've been doing photography for longer. :)
So, what better way to kick off a new year, than with a new adventure!
I'm hoping to update this daily, if not, at least weekly. I plan to use this space to share new products, hold some fun competitions, share recent images, and most importantly, keep in contact with my clients. During the holidays, I'll be listing deadlines and more than likely listing available dates for sessions, since this is such a busy time.
And for my first image post, I have to post my current favorite. Meet Sam. He's my youngest. He doesn't sit still most of the time, so capturing any decent images is difficult. After a particularly rough day playing, he fell asleep on a pillow on the floor near a window. He is So sweet, and is so peaceful here. I enlarged this to 11 x 14 and made it a standout, and hung it in our bedroom.
